GDI soot is produced in fuel-rich areas when the air and fuel within the cylinder do not mix thoroughly.
GDI soot may contaminate engine oil, preventing the oil from providing proper protection and performance.
Direct Injection 102, when used in conjunction with scheduled oil changes, can help remove GDI soot while slowing engine wear and sludge formation.
